Right of Withdrawal

Last updated: August 2026

§1 Right of Withdrawal for EU Consumers

If you are a consumer within the meaning of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (Directive 2011/83/EU) — that is, a natural person who concludes a contract for a purpose that is predominantly outside their trade, business or profession — you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day of conclusion of the contract (for digital services and subscriptions: from the day the contract is concluded).

Note: This right of withdrawal applies, pursuant to Art. 9 of Directive 2011/83/EU, to consumers habitually resident in an EU member state. The mandatory consumer protection law of the state of residence remains reserved (see §9 of the Terms).

§2 Exercising the Right of Withdrawal

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement in text form (e.g. by email). To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send the notice of withdrawal before the withdrawal period expires.

Withdrawal from my contract

I/We (*) hereby give notice that I/we (*) withdraw from my/our (*) contract for the purchase of the following service:

Ordered on (*): ___________________________

Name of consumer(s): ___________________________

Address of consumer(s): ___________________________

Signature of consumer(s) (only if notified on paper): ___________________________

Date: ___________________________

(*) Delete as appropriate. — Pursuant to Annex I(B) of Directive 2011/83/EU.

§4 Premature Expiry of the Right of Withdrawal

The right of withdrawal expires prematurely, pursuant to Art. 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU, if:

  • the contract concerns the supply of digital content or the provision of digital services that are not delivered on a tangible medium,
  • performance has begun with the express consent of the consumer before the expiry of the withdrawal period, and
  • the consumer has acknowledged that this results in the loss of the right of withdrawal.

If you activated the corresponding confirmation checkbox at the time of purchase ("I request immediate performance of the contract and confirm that I am aware that my right of withdrawal will be lost upon full performance of the contract."), these requirements are deemed to be met. In that case, you no longer have a right of withdrawal after performance has begun.
